At SRF, we believe that it is essential for Companies to have a purpose, more engaging than profits and that purpose should be intrinsic to the fabric of the organization. Building on this belief, SRF Foundation formerly known as the Society for Education and Welfare Development, was set up in the year 1982 as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of SRF Limited. SRF Foundation is registered under the Societies Registration Act (XXI of 1860).
Drawing inspiration from its founders, Late Sir Shri Ram and Late Dr. Bharat Ram, who believed in contributing to society through education, the SRF Foundation set up The Shri Ram Schools in Delhi NCR in 1988 and the SRF Vidyalaya in Chennai in 1992.
Currently, the SRF Foundation champions the cause of quality education in India and runs one of the largest community programs in the Country, imparting education and vocational training programs to underprivileged children and youth by improving both hard and soft infrastructure facilities in Government schools, promoting computer-aided learning, and through the digital inclusion of communities.
SRF Foundation also works in the areas of preventive healthcare, natural resource management and affirmative action on a sustainable basis.
This has been SRF’s humble way of making a small, yet deeply felt contribution to causes that are important and vital to our society.
