Board of Directors

Arun Bharat Ram was the former President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the current President of the CII Education Council. Popularly known as ABR, he is the principal architect of SRF Ltd’s growth over the years, and a leader in the plastics industry. He is also a member of the Governing body of SPIC-Macay, The Doon School, Dehradun and Lady Shriram College (LSR). ABR is a member of the CII World Economic Summit - India Advisory Council and has been appointed by the Government to be the Co-Chairman of Indo-German Consultative Group.
   
Manju Bharat Ram is the Founder and Chairperson of The Shri Ram Schools, SRF Vidyalaya and Enhancing Early Education. She is also a Founder Member of Charity Aid Foundation - India (CAF) and Pratham and Trustee and Honorary General Secretary of the Blind Relief Association. She is also part of the Board of Governors for Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bharathi Foundation, Save the Children - India, and Lady Irwin College,  New Delhi.
   
Justice R.S. Sodhi enrolled as an Advocate on 27th July 1972 in the High Court of Delhi. He practised in constitutional, civil, criminal, land revenue, and excise matters in the Supreme Court of India for 25 years. In Pubjab, he has served as the Advocate-on-Record and the Additional Advocate General in the Supreme Court of India. In 1999, Justice Sodhi was appointed as the Judge of the Delhi High Court. In his 8 years as the judge, he has handled prominent public cases, while upholding his belief in the Fundamental Rights of every individual.
   
Pratap Bhanu Mehta is the current President of the Center for Policy Research in New Delhi. He is also part of NYU Law School’s Global Faculty. He was Associate Professor of Government and of Social Studies at Harvard, and Professor of Philosophy and of Law and Governance at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He was Member-Convenor of the Prime Minister of India’s National Knowledge Commission; Member of the Supreme Court appointed Lyngdoh Committee on Indian Universities. He is on the Board of Governors of IDRC and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Council on Global Governance.

Lalit Nirula is the person who introduced the concept of the fast food business in India after studying hotel management at Cornell University. NIRULA'S is the premier indigenous fast food brand in India. Many Indian entrepreneurs have tried to clone the NIRULA’S concept all over the country, and multi-national companies who come to India are benchmarked against NIRULA’s for their performance.
   
Sushil Ramola is a social entrepreneur, and has launched an initiative called B-ABLE (Basix Academy for Building Lifelong Employability) to serve those who couldn't complete their school education. He has 30 years of work experience, out of which 24 years have been with SRF Limited; bringing in experience of engaging with the society, the Government and the NGOs on sustainable development. He is an active member on the board of several well known NGOs, and has held several senior positions in SRF Limited such as President, and CEO of many businesses and Corporate Head of HR, IT and Strategy. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Essilor India till recently.
   
Vasvi Bharat Ram is the Chairperson of Young FICCI Ladies Organisation. After various stints with established fashion houses in England, Vasvi returned to India and started her own business in wrought iron furniture. In a short period she grew the business into a successful enterprise. She spends her time equally between her academic interests and in bringing up her 2 daughters.
   
Radhika Bharat Ram is a member of the Executive Committee of The Shri Ram School and of Shri Educare Ltd. Both these entities set up and run quality education institutions both in India and abroad. Radhika is also a member of FLO (FICCI Ladies Organization) and contributes her time to the Craft Council of India. She is keen in studio pottery as an art form and has presented her works in various exhibitions. She is the mother of 2 children and enjoys spending as much time with them as possible.
   
T. N. Ninan is the Chairman and Editorial Director of Business Standard Limited. With Masters in Economics from Madras University, he is one of India's most respected economic editors. Earlier, he was the editor of the Economic Times, editor of Business World magazine, and executive editor of India Today. He is a familiar figure on national television, as a commentator on economic issues. He is a recipient of the B. D. Goenka Award for excellence in journalism (1992) and serves on several non-profit boards and committees.
   
Pierre Avanzo is a partner at McKinsey & Company in India, where he leads the Organization Practice. Five years ago, he settled down in India after having accomplished 10 years of consulting experience across Europe and the US. In his consulting career, Pierre is involved in civil society issues, such as disaster relief and preparedness. His clients include the Red Cross organisation, and Tafren, the post-tsunami reconstruction agency in Sri Lanka. More recently, he has guided clients on the setting up of tertiary education institutions in India.

SRF Foundation Team

Director – SRF Foundation
Dr. Y. Suresh Reddy took his Ph. D. in Public Administration from SV University, Tirupati (India) in 1995. Having nearly 17 years of programming experience in school education, teaching and research, he has worked for Byrraju Foundation, Hyderabad; Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, Hyderabad; CARE India, New Delhi; State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), New Delhi. His areas of interest include School Education, ICT in Education, Child Labor and Rural Development.
   
Head – Mewat Rural Education Program
Anil Jha heads the Mewat Rural Education Program (MREP), charting its direction together with the Director, and managing its progress at the grassroots level. He has had 12 years of experience in project management and conducting program evaluations in the education and non-governmental sector. Prior to SRF Foundation, he was with Edulever, managing projects and conducting training and assessments. He holds a Masters in Philosophy in Anthropology from Delhi University.

   
Head – Mewat Rural Vocational Program
Ziaul Hoda is the newest member of the SRF Foundation team. As head of the Vocational Skills Program, he ensures need based vocational courses, develops partnerships around vocational training and facilitates systems and procedures required for vocational skills. He has acquired his Bachelor and Master degrees in Extension Education from Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi. Prior to joining SRF Foundation, Ziaul has been intensively working on Vocational Skills and Livelihood components. He has been involved in facilitation of over 200 trainings and workshops across the country on various issues and has vast work experience with community development projects.

Senior Consultant — Education
Prakash Dutt is a post graduate in Education, Sociology and Philosophy with a good amount of experience in teacher education and education sector project management in India and in Africa. In the last two years, he has served the Foundation as Head of the Mewat Rural Education Program (MREP). He has served SRF Foundation for the last two years first as Head MREP and currently as a senior Consultant, Education.

Harish Kumarstr is a post graduate in Economics from Meerut University. He has 25 years of rich experience in NGO sector. Before joining SRF Foundation he was associated with Samavesh-Society of Development and Governance as a “Coordinator / Associate Director”.

Nisar Khan is a post graduate in Sociology from Indira Gandhi National Open University. He has 7 years of work experience in NGO Sector. Before joining SRF Foundation in April 2010 he was associated with EDC as a “Program Associate”.
   
Academic Coordinator – Mewat Rural Education Program
Kamaleshwer Mishra works closely with the schools in Mewat, as part of the Foundation’s Mewat Rural Education Program (MREP). He has 9 years of experience in social development – coordinating projects, conducting research and evaluation, and training officers and community organisers in community development programs. Kamaleshwer holds a Masters in English from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth and Masters in Sociology from VBS Purvanchal University, as well as a B.Ed from Maharshi Dayanand University.

 
Community Coordinator – Mewat Rural Education Program
 Nisha Juneja coordinates the Foundation’s efforts in Mewat, as part of the Mewat Rural Education Program (MREP). She has 10 years of experience in the social development sector, focusing mostly on women empowerment. Prior to SRF Foundation, she was with Spandana Sphoorty Financial Limited, working on microfinance solutions for women. Nisha holds a Masters in Economics from Meerut University, a Masters in Commerce from the University of Rajasthan Jaipur, a BA in Education from M.D.University Rohtak, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Application from K.U.K University.
   
Technical Coordinator – Mewat Rural Education Program
Neeti Tyagi
holds a B.Sc in Biology from University of Delhi, M.Sc. in Microbiology Before joining SRF Foundation in April 2011, Neeti has worked as a teacher in Bluebells School in Kailash, Delhi. Under Neeti’s supervision in the SRF Foundation are technical support and all subject matters regarding science education within MREP.
   
Training Coordinator – Shri Sambandh
 A. Rakesh is a graduate form Osmania University; Hyderabad. He has 11 yrs of experience in NGOs sectors. He has worked for Byrraju Foundation and Dr.Reddys Foundation in ICT and Non-ICT interventions making difference for urban slums and rural children in the area of pre and primary education. He has an exposure to develop TOTs in IBMKidSmart Early Learning Program, TOT for bridge schools, conducted teacher training for government teachers and volunteers, conducted residential and non-residential bridge camps for child labour /out of school children, developed reading and writing skills for primary children.

   
Programme Coordinator – 3EP/Trainings
Anita Maitra has been with The Shri Ram School for nearly two decades in various capacities. She has also worked with the Foundation for a year where she has been involved in teacher training and curriculum development.. She has had the experience of working with village schools across India as well. An alumnus of Lady Shri Ram College, Anita has a Masters degree in Education.

   
Programme Associate – 3EP
Joysina Chawla has had 5 enriching years working with The Shri Ram School, working with the elementary age group. Prior to this, she had been teaching at Play House, Friends Colony, a pre-school, in Delhi for 5 years. Besides building the foundation of the children, Joysina also does planning and implementing Teacher training modules to enhance skills for other Teachers, in the areas of Classroom Management and Curriculum and Subject Development.

   
Programme Associate – 3EP
Dipannita Bose is a Special Educator by profession and has been with the Shi Ram School since 2003. Not only does Dipannita teach at the elementary and junior levels, Dipannita was also a facilitator with the Teachers Associate Programme. She was also the key facilitator for the Enhancing language development programme (ELDP) which helped employees of the SRF foundation enhance their English expressive skills.

Raj Singh having 10 years of rich experience with firms like Steria India Limited – a leading IT service provider, Amina Collection and Mantec. He is a postgraduate, having diploma in Management from IGNOU, one year certificate course from ITI Delhi and a Microsoft Certified Professional.

   
Subhajitaluni
Officer - Accounts
Subhajit Aluni plans the finance management information systems, internal operations and budgets of SRF Foundation, and finalises its accounts. He has 6 years of experience in accounting; doing book keeping, auditing, income tax, generating financial reports, etc. Before joining SRF Foundation, he worked with The INCLEN Trust International. Subhajit holds a B.Com (Hons.) from the University of Kalyani.
   
Manager
Vijay Gupta, a Commerce Graduate, having more than 25 years of association with SRF Ltd. joined SRF Foundation with rich financial management experience. As a Finance Manager – Foundation, he manages  Foundation’s finances and liaison with government.

   
Secretary to Director
Savita, joined SRF Foundation in Sept. 2009. She is having more than 12 years Secretarial and Administrative experience of working with upper level management in various diversified industries. Prior to SRF Foundation, she worked with Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (Under Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas), NTPC-SAIL Power Co. Ltd. and Umkal Superspeciality Hospital, Gurgaon.
