Board of Governors

Arun Bharat Ram was the former President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the current President of the CII Education Council. Popularly known as ABR, he is the principal architect of SRF Ltd's growth over the years, and a leader in the plastics industry. He is also a member of the Governing body of SPIC-Macay, The Doon School, Dehradun and Lady Shriram College (LSR). ABR is a member of the CII World Economic Summit - India Advisory Council and has been appointed by the Government to be the Co-Chairman of Indo-German Consultative Group.
   
Justice R.S. Sodhi enrolled as an Advocate on 27th July 1972 in the High Court of Delhi. He practised in constitutional, civil, criminal, land revenue, and excise matters in the Supreme Court of India for 25 years. In Pubjab, he has served as the Advocate-on-Record and the Additional Advocate General in the Supreme Court of India. In 1999, Justice Sodhi was appointed as the Judge of the Delhi High Court. In his 8 years as the judge, he has handled prominent public cases, while upholding his belief in the Fundamental Rights of every individual.
   
Kartik Bharat Ram a graduate from Santa Clara University and MBA from Cornell University, New York has assumed various responsibilities across different verticals in SRF ever since he joined the company in 1993. As Deputy Managing Director of SRF Limited since February 2007, he is largely involved in creation and strengthening of TQM as SRF way of management, driving aspirations of the company through value-based leadership and building SRF into a trusted corporate brand - one that is respected for its commitment to deliver sustainable growth through total excellence. As Vice President in SRF, Kartik was instrumental in integrating HR, IT and TQM functions across the organisation.
   
Lalit Nirula, a St. Stephen's Economic Honours and Cornell University Hotel School graduate, is a second generation member of a family that had been in the Hotel and Restaurant industry for 76 years and successfully brought new non-traditional food products, innovative concepts and modern hospitality work culture to India. The company was considered leaders in their field of family foods and many Indian entrepreneurs have tried to clone the NIRULA's concept all over the country while multi-national companies who first came to India were benchmarked against NIRULA's for their performance.
   
Dr. Meenakshi Gopinath was the Principal at Lady Shri Ram College from 1988 till 2014, where she worked to mould it as a centre of excellence. Dr.Gopinath is the Founder and Honorary Director of WISCOMP (Women in Security Conflict Management and Peace), an initiative that began in1999 to promote the leadership of South Asian Women in the areas of international politics, peace, security and diplomacy. As a part of her contribution to foster a culture of peace, Dr.Gopinath has written and lectured extensively on issues of Conflict Transformation, Peace Building and Education for Peace in South Asia and in other regions.
   
Radhika Bharat Ram is the Joint Vice Chairperson of The Shri Ram Schools and a member of Shri Educare Limited. Both these entities set up and run quality education institutions both in India and abroad. She is also the Joint Treasurer of the Delhi Craft Council and Managing Committee Member of The Blind Relief Association, Delhi. Radhika is also a member of FLO (Ficci Ladies Organization). She is keen in studio pottery as an art form and has presented her works in various exhibitions. She is the mother of 2 children and enjoys spending as much time with them as possible.
   
Sushil Ramola is a social entrepreneur, co-founder and currently MD and CEO of B-ABLE (BASIX Academy for Building Lifelong Employability Ltd.), which was set up in 2009 with a mission to provide skills and meaningful livelihood opportunities to 1 million less educated and under-skilled youth in the next decade. It was the first to partner with NSDC and today it has over 70 skill development centres across 18 states of India. He is a former President and CEO of SRF Limited, where he worked for 24 years. He also has experience of engaging with society and is an active member of the board of several well-known NGOs such as Central Himalayan Environment Association (CHEA), LEAD India and Blind Relief Association. Sushil Ramola is a chemical engineer and an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus.
   
Vasvi Bharat Ram is the Joint Vice Chairperson of the Executive Committee of The Shri Ram School and a member of Shri Educare Limited. Both these entities set up and run quality education institutions both in India and abroad. After completing her education in England, Vasvi returned to India and started her own business in wrought iron furniture. In a short period she grew the business into a successful enterprise. Vasvi has also been the Chairperson of Young FICCI Ladies Organization and is currently on the board of the Young Presidents Organization. She spends her time equally between her academic interests and in bringing up her 2 daughters.

Meet the Team

Director
Dr. Y. Suresh Reddy, is an Aspire Fellow, CSR Lead - SRF Ltd. and Head of a Not for Profit Organization namely SRF Foundation (www.srf-foundation.org). He took his Ph. D. in Public Administration from SV University, Tirupati (India) in 1995 and has a vast experience of 23 years by associating with Academic, Government, Not for Profit and Corporate Foundations. He has so far worked for Byrraju Foundation, Hyderabad; Dr. Reddy's Foundation, Hyderabad; CARE India (International NGO), New Delhi and State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), New Delhi.

Dr. Reddy is a specialist in school education, vocational skills and a very practical CSR leader. He has skills in the entire Project Cycle Management and building institutions. He has also authored couple of books entitled "Co-operatives & Rural Development" and "Child Labor in India" and has many research papers to his credit. His areas of interest include CSR, School Education for deprived, ICT for development, Public Private Community Partnerships for Education, Child Labor, Vocational Skills and Rural Development.

Head - Education Program & Process
A. Rakesh, a graduate from Osmania University; Hyderabad, has 17 years of experience in NGOs sector. For the past eight years, he has been working for SRF Foundation in the Rural Education Transformation projects creating Model Schools and supporting technically to SRF CSR locations. Prior to SRF Foundation he worked for Byrraju Foundation and Dr. Reddy's Foundation in ICT and Non-ICT interventions making difference for urban slums and rural children in the area of pre and primary education.
   
Program Manager - Education
Shakeb Alam has a post graduate degree in Social Work, from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), with specialization in Human Resource and is also a Gandhi Fellow. With the conclusion of the fellowship, he joined PFEL as a program leader for the district leadership development program, where he worked for 18 months, and conducted state resource group workshops with National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA). At SRF Foundation, he is responsible for looking after the Foundation's education programs in Mewat and Bhiwadi.
   
Program Manager - Science Education Promotion
Mufeed Ahmed has a post graduate degree in Social Work, from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), with specialization in Human Resource. He is also a graduate in Political Science Honors, B.Ed. and a Gandhi Fellow. He joined SRF Foundation in 2014 and since then has been heading Foundation's Science education promotion program in Haryana and Gwalior. His role includes capacity building of District Institution for Education and Training (DIET) faculty members and liaising with government officials at SCERT, SSA and Education Department.
   
Academic Coordinator Atal Tinkering Lab Program
Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi has done his Engineering in Biochemical from Government Kumaon Engineering College, Dwarahat and also holds a three year Diploma in Electronics Engineering from Government Polytechnic Dehradun. Before joining SRF Foundation he worked as a fellow in Azim Premji Foundation and then as a Center Manager at Educational Initiatives Pvt. Ltd. At SRF Foundation he will be coordinating with various government departments for developing resource kits, manuals and activity booklets for Atal Tinkering Lab Program.
   
Academic Coordinator
Pragati Goel holds a master's degree in commerce from M.J.P.Rohilkhand University, U.P and MBA in Human Resource from IMT Ghaziabad, U.P and also graduate in Enhancing Early Education program. She joined SRF Foundation in August 2013 as a Academic Resource Person. In the current role she coordinates with the teachers & students in Mewat.
   
Academic Coordinator
Kusum Rahi, a graduate (B.A.) from Meerut University and added up with professional course on Enhancing Early Education program (3EP). She started her professional career as a Resource Person in SRF foundation in Mewat Rural Education program (MREP) since January' 2014. She is keen to work and learn various aspects of education and social development sector. She loves reading and listening to music.

Enhancing Early Education Program (3EP)

Head - Education Programs (3EP & Shri Sambandh)
Bhagya Lakshmi Balaji, a UGC NET(Education) qualified and a post graduate in Education with specialization in Educational Management, has been with The Shri Ram School since 2010. She was involved in teaching, curriculum development and various school projects. Since 2015, her role in SRF Foundation is to conceptualize and coordinate Enhancing Early Education Program(3EP) and manage Shri Sambandh activities. An alumna of Delhi University, she has a bachelor's degree in Science and Education, is a certified Elementary Teacher and a Computer Programmer.
   
Senior Programme Associate (3EP)
Joysina Chawla joined SRF Foundation in 2007 as a part of the team to set up the Enhancing Early Education program and develop and design its curriculum. Her expertise lies in the area of Curriculum and Skill development and Classroom Management. She has conducted many Workshops for Teacher capacity building on a variety of Topics for In-service Teachers in various schools in Delhi and the NCR.
   
Programme Associate - 3EP
Surabhi Setya is a post graduate in Child Development. She has several years of experience working with children in the primary years. She has designed the curriculum and contributed in planning various school projects and was the key facilitator for the Enhancing English language development program (EELDP) which helped trainees to enhance their English expressive skills. She has also designed Child Development curriculum for Teacher Training Programme in the NGO sector.

Programme Officer - Mewat
Nisha Juneja looks after the Foundation's efforts in Mewat, as part of the Rural Education Program (REP). She has 10 years of experience in the social development sector, focusing mostly on women empowerment. Prior to SRF Foundation, she was with SpandanaSphoorty Financial Limited, working on microfinance solutions for women. Nisha holds a Masters in Economics from Meerut University, a Masters in Commerce from the University of Rajasthan Jaipur, a BA in Education from M. D. University Rohtak, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Application from K. U. K. University.
   
Programme Officer - Academic Enrichment Program (AEP)
Krishan Tiwary drives Academic Enrichment program in Mewat region at SRF with core engagement with HM and teachers at 42 school of NUH block to enhance the learning level outcome in the focused school. He is an alumnus of Development communication from AJKMCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia and Gandhi Fellow from Gujarat location. Prior to SRF Krishan was associated with Quest Alliance and Child Fund India. He is an education technology enthusiast and love to do photography as hobby".
   
Programme Officer School Adoption Project, Chengalpattu
J. Dinakaran done his B.Com, Master in Social Work, M. Phil. in Life Skill Education among Adolescents Girls and P.G. Dip. In Counselling from Bishop Heber College Trichirappalli. With more than four years of experience in the social sector, he is now looking after the SRF Foundation Capgemini School Adoption Project in Chengalpattu, Chennai. Before joining the Foundation he was working with the Leaf Society Chennai as a Program Manager of WASH project. Dinakaran has also been a team member of Childline 1098 project.
   
Programme Officer - Dahej
Rajesh Vasava B.A. in English Literature from St. Xaviers's College Ahmedabad and Master in Social Work from University of Bombay, has 7 years of experience in rural development, health care, and education sector. He has worked in Aga Khan Rural Support Programme India as a Programme Specialist Research and Monitoring in Gujarat and as a CSR coordinator in Deepak Nitrite Limited. Before SRF Foundation he was working with APM Terminals, Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited as Asst. Manager CSR and Port affairs. At SRF Foundation, he will be undertaking CSR activity at SRF Ltd, Dahej-Gujarat.
   
Programme Officer - School Adoption Project, Bangalore
Pradeep Savanur completed his B.Sc. from Karnataka University, Dharwad and Bachelor of Education from Kuvempu University, Shivamogga. Before joining SRF Foundation he worked with Agastya for 1.5 years as an in-charge of teachers training program and overall development of govt. school students under Young Instructor Leader Program. At SRF Foundation he will look after the SRF Foundation Capgemini School Adoption Project in Bangalore.
   
Programme Officer - Digital Based Learning Program
Ashwath B. K. did his masters in Chemistry from Kuvempu University and Bachelor of Education from Mysore University. Before joining SRF Foundation he worked with Agastya International Foundation as a Centre Incharge in Bengaluru urban locations. He also represented Agastya in 103rd Indian Science Congress at Mysore and won 1st prize among the 150 other organizations from all over India. At the Foundation he looks after the implementation of Brillio Digital Based Learning Program in 20 government schools of Bengaluru region.
   
Programme Officer - STEM
Kadirappa, a Science Graduate from Kuvempu University, Shivamoga and a Diploma holder in Education from Govt. of Karnataka, has 8 years of working experience in educational institutions and NGO sector. He has been an Assistant Teacher in Acharya Educational Institution in Gouribidanuru and Sri Guru Ragavendra Trust Lakkasandra and Instructor Master Trainer (IMT) in Agastya International Foundation. At SRF Foundation he is responsible for promoting STEM Education in Bangalore and Chennai locations and to bring about cultural and behavioral change among the teachers and students through Capgemini School Adoption Project.
   
Vocational Coordinator - Mewat
Kamaleshwer Mishra works closely with theworks closely with the schools in Mewat, as part of the Foundation's Mewat Rural Education Program (MREP). He has 9 years of experience in social development - coordinating projects, conducting research and evaluation, and training officers and community organizers in community development programs. Kamaleshwer holds a Masters in English from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth and Masters in Sociology from VBS Purvanchal University, as well as a B.Ed. from Maharshi Dayanand University.

Vijay Gupta, a Commerce Graduate, having more than 25 years of association with SRF Ltd. joined SRF Foundation with rich financial management experience. As a Secretary and Head of Finance, he manages Foundation's finances and liaison with government.
   
Officer - Accounts
Bata Krushna Routray, a Commerce Graduate from Utkal University, Orissa having more than 12 years of rich experience in accounting and project management. He has joined SRF Foundation on 16th April 2012, as an Officer - Accounts. He maintains Foundation's accounting; book keeping, budgeting, auditing, income tax & generating financial reports etc. Before joining SRF Foundation, he has worked for Asian Society for Entrepreneurship Education & Development, New Delhi - a leading NGO. His areas of interest include Accounting, Project Planning & Rural Development.
   
Partnership Officer
Gulzar Hussain is a Graduate in Political Science (Honors) and Master of Social Work (MSW) with HRM & Community Work specialization from Aligarh Muslim University. He has also completed course in NGO Management from IGNOU, New Delhi. A Gandhi Fellow, Gulzar was previously a Project Coordinator for ITE (Integrated Technology in Education) project, a Tata Trusts conceptualization with Digital Empowerment Foundation at Assam & Meghalaya. At SRF Foundation he looks after the Partnership Management portfolio.
   
HR & Admin Officer
Vikas Mark earned a Master's degree in Social Work, from H.N.B. Garhwal University, with specialization in Sociology. He has more than 3 years of experience in Administration/Operations and HR. Before joining the Foundation, he was working as an Administrative Assistant at Evidence Action, an International NGO based in New Delhi. At SRF Foundation, he would specifically be responsible for HR and Admin roles/functions.
   
Officer - Promotion & Communication
Kriti Tuteja takes care of SRF Foundation's online and offline communication requirements. With a P.G. Diploma in Development Communication from AJK Mass Communication Research Center (AJK-MCRC), Jamia Milia Islamia and a bachelor's degree in English (Hons.) from Delhi University, Kriti has more than six years of work experience in the development sector. Before joining SRF Foundation, she was a Communications Officer at Programme on Women's Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (PWESCR) an international initiative in the area of gender and economic, social and cultural rights.
   
Data Entry Operator - AEP
Rakesh Kumar, a graduate (B.A.) from Delhi University, provides data entry support mainly for Academic Enrichment Program (AEP) and other programs too. He is efficient in Hindi and English typing and has also done a diploma course of Desktop Publishing (DTP). Rakesh has five years of backend process working experience in various government organizations like NCERT, CBI and ICMR (AIIMS). Before joining SRF Foundation he was a Program Associate with Evolve Brands Pvt. Ltd.
   
Accounts Executive
Umang Mehta has done his B. Com from Delhi University and holds a Diploma in Computer Networking from Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Classes (DOEACC). At SRF Foundation he assists Officer Accounts in maintaining Foundation's accounting; book keeping, budgeting, auditing, income tax & generating financial reports. Umang is proficient in Oracle Sap and Tally and loves playing badminton and football.

Interns


Our team is supported by interns from universities all over the world. The internship program lasts a minimum of ten weeks during which students engage in projects to organize events, manage social media, write feature stories and photo and video journals, as well as support the rest of the team in the existing programs.
