We know that sport is empowering, particularly for girls. SRF Foundation, in collaboration with PNB Housing Finance Ltd. and Yonex Sunrise India is constantly developing sports infrastructure across its adopted schools. Shylaja, from our intervention school in Anjur district in Chengalpattu Block, Chennai started playing badminton when she was 13, has done well, and has won quite a few titles in district level competitions. Popular in her school and well known in her community, today she is a role model for other girls.
