She is an academic turned development sector professional who builds measurability and accountability in social organizations. She mentors, trains, and supports social sector organizations through strategic thinking initiatives, building M&E practices and teams and doing social impact assessments. She is the Founder & Director @ 86B Research and Advisory Services LLP – a practice in social sector consulting and impact assessment. 86B is a collective of individuals offering bespoke, expert, services to clients with Monitoring & Evaluation and Impact Measurement needs. She is a Resident Mentor with the Entrepreneurship Centre (NSRCEL) at IIM Bangalore, where she works with the Impact Orbit Cohort, Women Startup Program, and other entrepreneurs in the IIM Ecosystem. She is an empaneled social auditor with the Social Audit Network, India. She works with other State start-up missions to improve program design and mentor social ventures at early stages.
She was a full time academic from 2003- 2014 having taught Economics, International Finance and Entrepreneurship at various business schools in the country – IMT Hyderabad, IBS, NMIMS, SP Jain and IIM Kozhikode. She completed a PhD in Management in 2009 from ICFAI University Dehradun and was a visiting doctoral scholar to Syracuse University in New York and IST Technical University, Lisbon, Portugal. She studied Economics for her undergrad and Masters.
She has lived and worked extensively around India. She speaks six Indian languages and spend most of her days in the field traveling to visit social organizations for data collection or impact assessment. She is based out of Mahabalipuram (Tamil Nadu) and Bangalore (occasionally).
