The Model School Initiative of SRF Foundation is enabling the transformation of government schools into vibrant, child-centered learning spaces that promote joyful and holistic education. Currently implemented across 125 schools in 11 locations, the initiative focuses on strengthening the entire school ecosystem in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

SRF Foundation enhances classroom environments by establishing functional libraries, hands-on science labs, and foundational learning corners, encouraging reading, scientific inquiry, and early-grade learning. Classroom layouts are redesigned to foster collaboration and creativity. Regular student engagement activities and learning camps further nurture confidence, expression, and curiosity among learners.

Teacher empowerment and school leadership development remain central to the initiative. Subject-specific training, digital integration, and leadership workshops equip educators and Head Masters to adopt innovative and child-friendly teaching practices. With strong community participation and shared ownership, the initiative is enabling government schools to evolve into model institutions of quality education.
