SRF Foundation is enhancing English language proficiency in government schools through the TARA English Communication Program, implemented in collaboration with Capgemini and Learning Matters Pvt. Ltd. Designed for students in Grades 6 to 9, the initiative leverages TARA, an AI-powered voice-enabled learning assistant, to build listening, speaking, and comprehension skills in an engaging, interactive way. The program supports students with the communication abilities needed for academic success and future employability.
The learning model follows a blended approach, where trained facilitators conduct guided classroom sessions while students practice independently using AI-based tools that provide real-time speech feedback. This ensures personalized learning at scale, helping students gain confidence and fluency regardless of their starting proficiency. Regular assessments and facilitator training further strengthen instructional quality and classroom outcomes.
By integrating technology-driven language learning into government schools, the program promotes inclusive education and digital readiness, empowering students in Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions to become confident communicators and active participants in a rapidly evolving world.
