Amitav Virmani is the Founder and CEO of The Education Alliance (TEA), a non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of Government school education. Under his leadership, TEA partners with state governments across Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Delhi, driving reforms in foundational learning, vocational education, public-private partnerships, school consolidation, teacher development, and student assessment. Prior to TEA, Amitav served as Country Director at ARK India and has corporate experience with Bristol Myers Squibb. He holds degrees from The Doon School, St. Stephen’s College, and an MBA from UNC Chapel Hill.
